While the majestic steamer Kaiser Wilhelm departs Riesa at 11:00 a.m. and moves leisurely upriver towards Dresden (arriving around 6:00 / 6:15 p.m.), you start your own journey in the late afternoon – with a very special mission.

At 17:00 on the Terrassenufer in Dresden, it’s “cast off” for the historic PD Diesbar, the oldest and only coal-fired paddle steamer in the fleet. As part of the popular Canaletto cruise, it glides down the Elbe – with the aim of meeting Kaiser Wilhelm on the river.
