130th Anniversary of the PD “Kurort Rathen”
On May 2nd, the paddle steamer “Kurort Rathen” celebrates its 130th anniversary—join us on board! During our Open Ship Day, you’ll enjoy special behind-the-scenes insights into this historic steamboat.
In addition, you can experience a separate one-hour Canaletto cruise departing from Terrassenufer in Dresden, offering a relaxing way to take in the sights from the water.
In the evening, the celebration will be crowned with a scenic Castle Cruise accompanied by lively Dixie swing music, creating the perfect finale to this special day.

140th Anniversary of the PD “Pillnitz”
On May 16th, the paddle steamer “Pillnitz” invites you to celebrate its 140th anniversary—and you can experience this special occasion right on board. During our Open Ship Day, we will open the doors of this historic steamboat and offer fascinating behind-the-scenes insights.
Those who would also like to enjoy the Elbe in a more relaxed way can join a separate one-hour Canaletto cruise departing from Terrassenufer in Dresden, taking in the scenery from the water.
The festive day will conclude in the evening with a scenic Castle Cruise, accompanied by upbeat Dixie swing music—a perfect musical finale to mark this anniversary celebration.
July 04.
100th Anniversary of the PD “Dresden”
On July 4, the paddle steamer “Dresden” will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Join us on board to mark this special milestone! During our Open Ship Day, you’ll have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes look at this traditional steamboat and learn more about its history and technology.
In addition, you can enjoy the Elbe at a relaxed pace on a separate one-hour Canaletto cruise departing from Terrassenufer in Dresden, offering beautiful views from the water.
To conclude the celebration, an atmospheric Castle Cruise awaits you in the evening, accompanied by lively Dixie swing music—perfectly rounding out the anniversary spirit of the day.

Our photo contest runs year-round: each month, we select a winning photo, share it on our social media channels and the contest website, and reward the winner with an attractive prize.
At the end of the year, we will choose the Photo of the Year from all submissions. The most beautiful entries will be featured in a community calendar.

Our onboard art contest invites young and old artists alike to capture their very own Elbe moments—whether it’s their dream ship, a special cruise, the majestic paddle steamers, or even themselves as a proud captain.
During your trip, you’ll have the opportunity to create your own drawing on board and then hand it to our crew. Each month, we will select one outstanding artwork from all submissions, feature it on our contest website, and reward the winner with an attractive prize.
