Drawing contest
Our on-board drawing contest invites young artists aged 0 to 14 to bring their very own dream ships to life on paper. Does the ship cruise gently along the river, or does it race through outer space? Is the young artist at the helm, or is a magical fantasy creature in command? There are no limits to creativity. During the cruise, the artworks can be created right on board and handed in directly to our crew.
In this way, little masterpieces are created in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere on board. Each month, an internal jury selects one particularly outstanding artwork, showcases it on our competition website, and awards it a place of honor in our digital gallery. The winner also receives an attractive prize. This way, your most beautiful moments on board will live on.

Here’s how to participate:
All young artists aged 0 to 14 are warmly invited to creatively bring their dream ships to life on paper during a cruise on board our vessels. To get started right away, our young guests will receive coloring sheets and colored pencils directly from our on-board crew. The sheets also provide space to enter the child’s name, age, and contact details so that we can notify and congratulate the winner if their artwork is selected.
At the end of each month, we select one particularly outstanding artwork from all submissions. The winner receives a fantastic prize, and the selected artwork will be published here on our website. At the end of our anniversary year, an internal jury will choose the overall annual winner from among all monthly winners. The grand prize winner can look forward to a complimentary cruise with Sächsische Dampfschifffahrt!
Competition Period
The drawing contest runs from January 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026 on board our ships.
