On board the modern salon ship MS “August der Starke”, technology, history, and vivid storytelling come together: host Dirk Ebersbach guides you through the exciting development of the past 190 years in a multimedia and interactive way.

An impressive timeline stretching across the entire ship brings the milestones of this history to life and invites you to explore. QR codes lead you to short videos in which guests and employees share their experiences with the fleet—complemented by interesting facts and background knowledge on special events.

Families are well taken care of, too: at our creative island, children (and adults) can learn to tie maritime knots and create small craft projects—playful, hands-on, and engaging. The evening is rounded off with culinary delights reminiscent of earlier times: rustic classics that evoke the “good old days,” paired with the unique atmosphere of Elbe river cruises.

Accompanied by live piano music that transports you to musical eras of the past, this experience evening becomes a journey through time—where history is not only told but can be felt with all your senses.
